It's a tiny thing about the size of a pack of cards. Not great, but fun and convenient. The microphone is surprisingly good. The little camera is hard to hold still, though, and struggles in poor light conditions. The couple little clips I've put up have been from it.

Matt- I though that video of Rina was pretty good, what did you use? I agree, I probably won't get much really good footage, most of the time something very exciting is going on, I'm too busy watching to shoot.mdmnmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00191436711956580423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5497932746752236877.post-37951036065990016482008-01-09T12:26:00.000-08:002008-01-09T12:26:00.000-08:00Guys,The ratting video I attempted to shoot while ...Guys,

The ratting video I attempted to shoot while hawking the other day proved yet again what a pain it is to juggle all that in the field. I regret trying to film every time I do.

I agree there are plenty of times when I wish I HAD a camera. But there are probably more times I've been glad no one did...!Matt Mullenixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11198069782508775543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5497932746752236877.post-45609987744046186462008-01-09T10:18:00.000-08:002008-01-09T10:18:00.000-08:00Thanks Mike! And I'm intrigued by the video capabilities of some of the little point and shoot cameras.Henry Chappellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18013645114503780931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5497932746752236877.post-70169014773398954592008-01-09T09:22:00.000-08:002008-01-09T09:22:00.000-08:00Henry,Check out the Casio Exilim ES-X 500 and ES-X...Henry,

Check out the Casio Exilim ES-X 500 and ES-X 600 digital cameras. They are about the size of an index card and less than half an inch thick. Just little point and shoots, but so very convenient. Put it on a lanyard around your neck, then drop it in a baggie in your shirt pocket and you always have a camera. They've gotten under $200 now. While I'm no photographer, between the ease of reviewing/deleting digital pics and the ease of carrying around one of the little Casios, I've gotten a lot more shots that I'm happy with. The video from one isn't horrible, either.
Mikemdmnmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00191436711956580423noreply@blogger.com
